during the short track season as an excuse to run with her mom, Kathleen
Shiver, a few mornings a week. She attended Satellite High School where
she was a member of multiple state championship teams in swimming &
cross country as well as winning a state title in the 1600m. Also during
her senior year she achieved All-American status after her third place
finish in the mile at the National Scholastic Indoor Championship in New
York. Shiver then attended the University of Florida on a Cross Country/
Track scholarship. While competing at UF she was a member of 3 SEC
Championship Teams. In 2009, while still running at UF she earned her
Elite license in triathlon by winning the USAT Age Group National
Championship. Since then Shiver has attended the Olympic Training Center
in Colorado Springs for a two-week camp and traveled around the world to
race on the ITU circuit. Her goal is to compete on the USA National
